dc.description.abstract This practical guide has been meticulously reviewed and approved for editing by the Council of the Faculty of General Economy and Law, as officially recorded in Minute No. 3 of 24.11.2025. This rigorous process ensures its accuracy and relevance for aspiring entrepreneurs. The "Practical Guide for Refugees Starting a Business in the Republic of Moldova" is specifically tailored for individuals with refugee status and other displaced persons residing in Moldova. Its primary aim is to equip readers with clear, job-ready competences and hands-on skills, aligning with stringent adult vocational training standards and both European and National Qualifications Frameworks. The "Practical guide for refugees starting a business in the Republic of Moldova" is designed as an essential tool to facilitate access to legal, administrative, and practical information necessary for initiating entrepreneurial activity in the specific conditions of the Moldovan economic environment. Although primarily intended for refugees and asylum seekers who wish to develop their own economic initiatives, the guide has extended utility in the academic sphere, becoming a valuable resource for students' professional training. The work directly contributes to the training of students studying the discipline "Business Law", offering an applied example of how legal norms are put into practice. Through the way the structures, obligations, and procedures specific to establishing a business are presented, the guide complements the theoretical knowledge acquired in university programs and facilitates the understanding of the real mechanisms of the business environment. The material was developed within the framework of the project 8Legal and Social Assistance for Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Stateless Persons in the Republic of Moldova9, implemented by the NGO Lawyers9 Law Centre (Centrul de Drept al Avocaților), a partner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR Moldova). en_US
