dc.description.abstract The current research explores the dichotomy between the theoretical concept of free consumer choice and the practical reality of behavioral manipulation in modern marketing. While classical economic theories suggest a static and highly coordinated consumer behavior driven by rational utility, this paper argues that the human element introduces profound unpredictability. The main objective of the research is to analyze how emotions and internal psychological states bypass rational decision-making, transforming the consumer into an emotional entity vulnerable to external triggers. Using a theoretical approach based on literature review and behavioral observation, the study demonstrates that true free choice is often an illusion. The results indicate that acknowledging the consumer as a being driven by emotions ("an emotional bomb") allows marketers to predict and subtly manipulate choices. The paper concludes that as long as the consumer remains inherently human and prone to error, their decisions can be directed by exploiting their emotional and psychological states.
