dc.description.abstract	The expansion of the digital economy has generated new forms of employment, among which freelancing has become increasingly relevant. In the Republic of Moldova, this phenomenon has developed rapidly, but the legal framework has lagged behind. This paper analyzes the legal status of freelancers after the adoption of the 2026 law. The research is based on legislative and comparative analysis. The results highlight simplified taxation, transparency and formalization of economic activity.
