dc.description.abstract	The paper examines the legal framework of consumer protection in the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, highlighting its evolution and the role of legal education in ensuring effective protection. In the EU, consumer protection has become an autonomous field regulated by the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, particularly Articles 114 and 169, supported by relevant directives and the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. In the Republic of Moldova, the legal framework has developed through the harmonization of national legislation with EU standards. Although progress has been made, its effectiveness is still limited by a low level of legal awareness.
