Abstract:
This paper examines the current poverty level and socio-economic conditions in the Republic of Moldova, focusing on the main macroeconomic factors influencing household welfare. The study highlights the impact of inflation, low economic growth, demographic changes and migration on poverty dynamics. The research is based on official statistics provided by national and international institutions and integrates theoretical foundations with empirical evidence. The findings show a strong interconnection between inflation, declining real incomes, regional disparities and labour force reduction caused by migration.
