dc.description.abstract This research studies how we think and what surrounds us in making decisions at university, finding ourselves in the digital era and with a variety of information for students. This topic is important because students have great difficulties in making academic and personal decisions, even if they are afraid of professional independence. The aim of this study was to find out which type of decision-making is the most common and to see how personal experience, quantity of data, and pressure from others influence decision-making. The method of analysis applied here consists of reviewing books and articles on decision-making theories. This approach offers a clear picture of how students make decisions today. We also used a quantitative approach using the questionnaire method and a sample of students from ASEM. The results show that the rational style dominates (64.5%), involving a logical analysis and independence in decision-making. Students are generally analytical, but many of them procrastinate when time is tight. Students rely on digital information as a reliable basis for decisions.
