Abstract:
This paper investigates the relationship between business ethics and professional reputation within contemporary organizations. By combining a theoretical review with illustrative case studies, the research demonstrates how ethical conduct — encompassing integrity, transparency, and social responsibility — serves as a primary driver of long-term reputational capital. The findings indicate that organizations and individuals who systematically uphold ethical standards enjoy greater stakeholder trust, enhanced competitive advantage, and superior resilience during crises. Conversely, ethical violations, even when temporary, generate lasting reputational damage that undermines market position and organizational sustainability. The study concludes with practical recommendations for embedding ethical culture as a core strategic asset. CZU: 174.4:316.653; JEL: M14, M21, Z13
