Abstract:
The study establishes standardization and certification as the fundamental pillars for achieving quality tourism services in the Republic of Moldova. Findings reveal a significant communication gap and perceived disinterest among small enterprises due to high costs and the misperception of standards as mere bureaucracy. The research recommends that national bodies must promote scalable solutions and shift communication to emphasize tangible benefits - like safety and trust - to ensure the voluntary adoption of standards provides a real competitive advantage over the mandatory minimum classification.
