dc.description.abstract This study analyzes the role of investments in human capital in enhancing business competitiveness, focusing on the opportunities created by various factors to support them. in a globalized context, where technology is advancing rapidly, businesses face increasing competition and constantly changing requirements. the article explores the importance of human capital in the development of these enterprises, highlighting how investments in education, vocational training and digital skills can support their growth and adaptability. it also discusses the main challenges that businesses face in managing human capital, including the lack of financial resources, the need for constant innovation and alignment with global standards. the study identifies the opportunities generated by the integration of digital technologies, which can transform business models and support the development of effective strategies to attract and retain talent. understanding these factors is essential to help them face the challenges of globalization and take advantage of the advantages of the digital economy, thus having a positive impact on economic growth. thus, investments in human capital become a crucial factor for the success of businesses in the current context of the global economy.
