| dc.description.abstract | The following article highlights the impact of digitalization upon the national economy of Republic of Moldova. In order to facilitate the transition to a functional digital economy, there has been created a new infrastructure which is meant to strengthen and to support business development. The purpose of this article is to offer a clear understanding of what the local digital economy infrastructure encompasses and to examine the shift from traditional transactions to ecommerce in Republic of Moldova. The research methodology includes statistical data analysis and descriptive method of research for delivering accurate and up to date information regarding the digitalization of economy in Republic of Moldova.
