Abstract:
The legalism preached the Confucian approach to understanding and applying the law. It emphasizes the primacy of laws. The political and legal concepts of legalism became the defining factors of the progressive development of the law, its ideological foundations, its principles and institutions, as well as the enforcement mechanisms and the traditional legal understanding of the Chinese people.
