dc.description.abstract As we can see, "digitalization" is a very common concept in contemporary society, a phenomenon almost indispensable in the daily work of all people. The beneficial effects of digitization can be felt especially on the elderly, as digitization opens up new avenues of access to a large volume of information and opportunities to improve their daily lives. The help of the authorities can take place in a digital way, being an easy and fast way to find out various information or to get answers to the questions they have. Also, both activities and services from the state are currently based on the use of the Internet not only for information. Through an internet connection, the elderly can pay their taxes and submit returns to avoid queues at the counters. Digitization also offers the opportunity for older people to enjoy innovative travel equipment (useful for other disabilities as well) or other mechanisms (clocks with special hazard warning alarms and other products useful for people diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease) that can improve quality of life.
