Abstract:	Few problems of economic theory and practice create more heated discussions than mergers or absorption of companies. There are different views on the efficiency and necessity of such a type of company consider it only a reflection of managers’ ambitions, whose shifts diminish but do not increase the effectiveness of the company The major effects of bank mergers are reported on both the internal benefits of the institution and the entire banking system.
