dc.description.abstractPayroll accounting is an essential tool in financial management, involving activities such as establishing personnel policy, calculating salaries, processing payments and complying with legal regulations. The article highlights the importance of the payroll accounting system, including remuneration policies and payroll recording procedures. It also discusses the grouping of payments by type, such as time worked or production achieved, as well as the legal obligations of employers in Moldova, such as taxes and social contributions. Essential documents for payroll include employment and attendance contracts. The study analyzes the impact of payroll accounting on organizational performance, employee motivation and financial planning, highlighting the importance of effective payroll management to reduce financial and administrative risks. The results are valuable for companies, accountants and decision-makers, demonstrating the need for effective payroll accounting systems for economic stability and labor market development.
