Local Budget Adoption Challenges: The Case of Chisinau Municipality

Abstract

In the context of the global economy, managing local budgets is a key factor for the successful functioning of municipalities. This article examines the problems of adopting local budgets using the example of Chisinau Municipality. Political, economic, and administrative obstacles are analyzed, as well as their impact on public services and community development. Solutions to improve the budgeting process are proposed, including strengthening institutional capacity, increasing revenues, and engaging stakeholders.
