In the field of accounting, both the minimum and average wage are important metrics, though they have different functions and effects. The Republic of Moldova is currently navigating a series of significant challenges, such as the enduring economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, an energy crisis, and the ongoing war in Ukraine, all of which have a considerable and lasting impact. While these crises affect everyone, they are felt most acutely by vulnerable groups, especially those with low incomes who find it difficult to manage the sudden increase in the cost of necessities. For most employees, their wage represents their most crucial source of income. CZU: 331.215.53(478); JEL: M41en_US
