Abstract:
The Republic of Moldova, with its intricate history and unique identity, often grapples with stereotypical perceptions internationally, focusing on negative aspects such as poverty, corruption, and political instability. This research
endeavors to transcend these stereotypes by providing a detailed economic analysis of Moldova, employing the Nation Brand Hexagon as a conceptual framework. The objectives include analyzing the Hexagon's components, identifying interconnections influencing economic performance, evaluating economic factors' impact on development, and formulating policy recommendations. Drawing on official sources, statistical data, and strategic documents, the research explores Moldova's strengths, development prospects, and challenges. Key findings reveal significant growth in tourism and exports, improvements in governance and investment climate, and the rich cultural heritage contributing to the country's image. Despite progress, challenges like infrastructure, education, and healthcare require sustained attention. Strategies for youth engagement and gender equality are pivotal for addressing demographic concerns and enhancing governance. Overall, this research aims to offer a nuanced understanding of Moldova, facilitating foreign investment attraction and fostering economic growth. CZU: 338.1(478); JEL: P47, O11, O15, O52
