Abstract:
This article explores how benchmarking can be used as a strategic tool to improve the implementation of mentoring programmes. Its key purpose is to demonstrate, based on the author's own experience, the effectiveness of this approach by presenting a case study based on the external take-up of the development strategies of one project as a result of which they are implemented in another similar project. Thus, existing practices are improved by identifying effective methods and adapting them to the specific context of the organisation. It also contributes to achieving significant results by increasing the quality of the programme and its impact on the young people involved. Consequently, it stimulates the initiation of new mentoring programmes with a significant role in the community, providing a role model and a solid knowledge base.
