Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to represent economic sanctions as one of the most efficient, diplomatic solutions for negotiating conflicts between countries. The proof of this fact reveals with risk's minimization to begin an armed conflict or to use different military weapons for tackling a conflict. Research objectives are based on terminology's explanation, types of sanctions enumeration and an impact analyze that sanctions can have on society, economy, or international relations. The paper also includes a Case Study that explains the process of US's application of sanctions on Iran and its consequences. Also, the research ends with a relevant conclusion regarding the importance of economic sanctions in dealing with different problems in a diplomatic and democratic way.
