Abstract: The establishment of special procedures for the solution of the applications of reduced value has represented in the last decades a special preoccupation of the legislative forums in the space of the European Union, but also of countries of other continents. The aim and purpose of the European procedure for low value applications was to guarantee access to justice and to establish an area of freedom, security and justice in the EU, the European procedure for low value applications aims to simplify and speed up the settlement of cross-border disputes. within the EU in the case of low value claims and consequently reduce the costs of such litigation between Member States. Thus, due to the extremely large number of civil cases brought before the court, which impairs the quality and duration of the examination, consuming excessively the state resources for the execution of the justice determined the Moldovan legislator to introduce a new chapter in the code of civil procedure, namely the procedure regarding the applications of reduced value.
