Abstract: | The issue of poverty in the Republic of Moldova is one of the most important because it concerns the majority of the citizens of the state, therefore it should be a priority for the governors from Chisinau. It is about securing decent living conditions that are indissolubly linked to human dignity and fundamental human rights. Several causes, of different nature, which generate the poverty of the majority of the Republic of Moldova population, have been identified in the article. Several factors have to be taken into account: cultural (including axiological - morality): corruption and embezzlement from state budgets, endogenous/systemic: inefficiency, precarious business environment, poor legislation, etc. Historical, sociological, comparative methods and others where used. In the paper were proposed solutions to the problem of poverty, which are closely related to the eradication of the causes that generate poverty. JEL: Z, Z0, Z100, Z1, Z12, Z120, Z13, Z130. |
