Abstract: Today we live in an accelerated life, where the most important factor has become the time. Thus, borrowers prefer credit institutions that can credit them within as little time as possible. Typically, such institutions are microfinance organizations, which in return for higher costs provide loans in short-terms. But the question arises: how risky are the microfinance loans and what is their impact on the banking sector? The purpose of the research is to analyze the influence of credit risk that microfinance organizations have and the extent to which they influence the vulnerability of the banking sector in the Republic of Moldova. The research method will be used the method of comparison, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, deductive and dialectical method. As a result, we will try to determine the problems and perspectives of the microfinance organizations and risk transfer of their activity on the banking sector in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the influence of the microfinance organizations on the vulnerability of the domestic banking sector.
