dc.description.abstractToday, the Internet provides access to information and content by connecting multiple devices, such as PCs, smartphones, or TVs, to Internet sites. The next evolution will make it possible to access information related to the environment using connected objects, able to understand the environment using sensors and to communicate with each other with or without human intervention. The evolutions registered at the level of the whole society, generated by the continuous progress of the field of information and communication technology, as well as by the success of the superior exploitation of resources, of the realization of new products and of the efficiency of daily activities, occur through IoT implementation. Undoubtedly, IoT creates a number of advantages such as: increased efficiency, reduced energy consumption, simplification of processes and activities, easy and simultaneous access to multiple resources, increased reliability. Through this article we intend to present a series of aspects regarding the Internet of Things with direct implications in the business environment but also in public administration.
