Abstract: Each commercial enterprise has a certain competitive position on the market, depending on its size, resources, objectives, commercial strategy, etc. However, effective positioning on the market and achievement of objectives set is determined by the competent and visionary choice of traders for supply and demand strategies, continuous adaptation to the market segments’ changes and exigencies and competitive advantages being at stake. What are the market trends and how do commercial enterprises adapt to these tendencies through differentiation represents the subject of this research. In this article, the author highlights current trends related to the business activity and differentiation methods applied by the commercial enterprises in the country and from abroad.
