Pragmatically speaking, tourism is an integrated, convergent and sequential component of almost all economic sectors present in a particular region or area with potential for capitalization. At the same time, tourism is conditioned by the derived revenues of these sectors and increasingly correlated with many of the projects of local interest. Initiatives focusing on general infrastructure, especially transport, give a distinctive note to tourism, giving added value to it. Regarding the Suceava Metropolitan Area, several initiatives related to the development of road and airport infrastructure are being proposed, projects aiming at rehabilitating the road network, decongesting the road traffic and interconnecting the North-Eastern part of Romania with some of the most important European air hubs. All this will clearly and unequivocally contribute to the increase of the tourist interest shown towards the city of Suceava and implicitly towards Bucovina. JEL CLASSIFICATION: R 4, R 41en_US
