Abstract: In the 20th century, fundamental human rights and freedoms became essential elements of the rule of law, playing a crucial role in ensuring protection and opportunities for individual development. Among these rights, the right to education holds particular significance, as it guarantees access to knowledge and training, essential for personal and professional growth. At the European level, the right to education is recognized in key legal instruments such as the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the European Convention on Human Rights. The European integration process has fostered policies promoting equal access to education, improving educational quality and enhancing academic mobility. This study explores best practices in education within the European Union, with a particular focus on Estonia and Lithuania. Estonia has distinguished itself through its emphasis on creativity and innovation in education, as well as its strong commitment to human rights education, making it a valuable model for other countries.
