Abstract: Over the past two decades, mergers and acquisitions have demonstrated their effectiveness as strategies for organizations aiming to expand their global reach, acquire resources, and reduce costs. These transactions not only impact the acquired firm but also involve its restructuring and integration into the acquiring organization. The effects of these deals influence decision-making factors, organizational culture, financial stability, and the achievement of the acquirer's strategic objectives. In this context, the author sought to explore how the theoretical and practical aspects of mergers and acquisitions have correlated with real-world situations in the Republic of Moldova currently. We have analyzed the most notable and remarkable cases in the history of horizontal, vertical, and conglomerate mergers and acquisitions, including various hostile instances, the evolution of hostile global operations over time, and their methods of payment.
