Drepturile omului întruchipează cerințele minime pentru o viață demnă, aplicabilă tuturor oamenilor de pretutindeni. Aceste nevoi, protejate de drepturile omului, includ hrana adecvată, sănătatea, educația, munca și condițiile de trai decent. Un buget bazat pe drepturile omului urmărește să asigure bunăstarea și demnitatea tuturor membrilor comunităților noastre și să promoveze echitatea prin susținerea celor care resimt cea mai mare nevoie.
