Abstract

BRICS is a unique trans-continental multilateral forum that brings together five major countries. As one of the largest groupings of emerging countries, the BRICS bloc currently includes the world's largest emerging economies - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The BRICS Plus initiative, through these leading regional entities, can connect other countries in each region, despite their differences. This will allow the BRICS bloc to increase the representation of developing nations and not least its influence in global governance.
