dc.description.abstractIn recent years, 3D printing has gained immense popularity due to its ability to create prototypes and develop products quickly, cost-effectively, and in a shorter time compared to traditional technologies. As a result, a research study titled "Evaluation of 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping and product development" has been conducted to assess the performance of various 3D printing technologies available in the market and identify the most effective practices to utilize them for the rapid prototyping and product development process. To attain its goal, the research employed a variety of research methods such as document analysis, interviews with subject matter experts, and case studies of companies utilizing 3D printing technologies. The key findings of this research endeavor revealed the strengths and weaknesses of various 3D printing technologies concerning their cost-effectiveness, speed, precision, quality, and flexibility. Furthermore, the study also identified the most effective best practices for utilizing these technologies to facilitate rapid prototyping and product development. The outcomes of this research hold significant value in comprehending the potential of 3D printing technologies and their relevance in the rapid prototyping and product development process. The research findings can guide product development companies and institutions in utilizing 3D printing technologies effectively, while also enabling them to identify the best practices that can be implemented to optimize their operations. The results of this study are not only useful for these entities but can also benefit researchers working towards the advancement of printing technologies in the 3D printing field.
