Abstract: The current approach treats the impact of economic crises on labor market behaviour in the Republic of Moldova. In this endeavour, negative effects of the economic crises from 2008 and 2020, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic which still continues to impact the economic development and the evolution of the labor market were analysed. In this context, the main economic indicators (GDP, the volume of industrial production, the volume of agricultural production, etc.) were considered, and more particularly their evolution during the pre and post crisis period. Furthermore, a series of indicators related to the labor market, as well as their manifestation during the economic crisis were examined. This allowed us to ascertain some distinctions regarding the indicators characterizing the labor market. Taking into account that the economic crisis from 2020, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has specific features, we were able to highlight certain aspects concerning the content and organization of the labor market.
