Evolution of international trade in the light of the war in Ukraine

Abstract

The article focuses on the analysis of the main changes in trade policies and international trade flows in the light of the war in Ukraine, and the impact of other factors such as rising interest rates, inflationary pressures in many countries on international trade and challenges for global supply chains in the short- and medium-term perspective. In particular, the case of Republic of Moldova and other countries in the region will be analysed, highlighting the main socio-economic effects of the latest events and developments on the economies in the region.
