Abstract: The importance of the circular economy is felt more and more in the modern organization of life. Circular economy is the concept of turning goods at the end of their service life into resources for other, closing loops in industrial ecosystems. It can become a solution to global problems, such as: pollution of the planet with waste, depletion of natural resources. In this article, the opportunities of the development of circular economy in Moldova, as well as of the problems in this area and of the methods of their solution are emphasized. To ensure sustainable economic growth both in the world and in the Republic of Moldova, existing resources must be used intelligently and sustainably. The replacement of the linear model of economic growth with a circular model can contribute to this process. CZU: 005.936.5:504.6(478); JEL: Q20; DOI: https://doi.org/10.53486/9789975359030.26
