Abstract: The consolidation of the professional competences formed within the educational process is meant to ensure the training needs of the students, which are connected to the requirements of the economy and the labour market. In the technical vocational education system, the Individual Study Guided by the Teacher is a component part of any course unit, which determines the quality of training through the volume of work done by each student in order to realize the educational outcomes and develop the professional skills. Viewed as a targeted study, it is therefore an educational activity carried out with an explicit algorithm in the initial phase, but guided along the way. The efficient organization of the ISGT implementation allows the individualization of the training process, increases the individual performances, forms the professional competencies and facilitates the socio-economic integration.
