Abstract: Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a current concept, which has a growing area of applicability. This article aims at the complex theoretical-practical analysis of the phenomenon of social-corporate responsibility in the Republic of Moldova and abroad. Along with the particularities of CSR in several European countries, some achievements and shortcomings attested in CSR practices are presented. Although it is a field of perspective, many companies perceive this term only through the prism of charity actions. The pandemic situation that started worldwide in March 2020, led companies to unite for a common cause, so in the article are listed some examples of good practice registered in the Republic of Moldova for support and assistance from the business environment to combat consequences caused by the COVID-19 virus. All these examples are an argument for the solidarity and interdependence of the economic and social environment. JEL: M14, L31.
