Abstract: The modern industrialised world is moving towards a risk society, in which the distribution of wealth is replaced by the distribution of risk. The new risk environment and unpredictable global realities of today demonstrate the inadequacy of national efforts to ensure the effective development of the national economic system. The importance of inter-state interaction and cooperation to jointly address risk impacts is increasing. Each country's national security is an important component in the international security system. International organisations have an important role to play in shaping the global security system by harmonising relations between countries, transforming each country's interests into common interests. Studies of contemporary international security risks have become particularly relevant in the context of the fourth industrial revolution, with the emergence of new technologies (primarily digital, biological), the impact of which forms new challenges to the development of national economies and their security.
