Abstract: The modern world, in this era, is progressing with giant strides in the direction of becoming a multicultural society. It is recognized in a profound examination of processes occurring in diverse societies over the past two decades, similarly to issues of multiculturalism are no longer as unequivocal as predicted at the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st century. From the start, the multicultural approach was formulated against a background of establishing cultural rights, recognizing the importance of cultural rights as part of individual rights and a core component of individuals’ belonging to a group and their social and later, also national identity. This article will try to present the existing reality in the Israeli education system, and to examine the ways for dealing with the growing trend.
