Abstract

The article is devoted to analysis of evolution of the social status of the librarian profession appearance until now. In the past the librarian profession was considered an exclusive one. When profession becomes mainstream, the status gradually decreases due to the fact shown librarian in literature, the media and the influence of public opinion. We are currently witnessing growth due to the active involvement of the state librarian profession on the communities served.
