The 21st century has undoubtedly brought many changes in both the economic and social sectors. Inevitably, it left his mark on education, at all levels (from preschool to high school). The fundamental role of education is the preparation and qualitative development of the skills needed by future specialists. Traditional systems no longer deliver the results expected by the real business environment at the moment, so there is a need to find new systems that are more efficient and practical. In this regard, it is reasonable to refer to word experience, which have been successfully implemented the new systems. A good example is the dual form of education, the origins of which are found and widely practiced in Germany (some statistics: more than 50% of Germans have completed the double cooperation program). The main purpose of the article is to demonstrate the relevance of the dual form for higher education. Among the research methods were used qualitative methods (observation, comparison of research results of domestic and international authors) and quantitative ones. Finally, the arguments in favor of implementing the dual form are based on the experience of its development in Germany, Switzerland, Australia and other countries, as a sustainable product of the social partnership, in which the main role belongs to employers, as well as ways to use its elements in the higher education system in the Republic of Moldova.
