Abstract: The study aims to determine the interdependence between financial liquidity and financial performance (expressed by the economic profitability indicator) in a sample of 21 companies belonging to the hotel and restaurant industry, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, 2007-2019, using the multiple linear regression model. The results obtained indicate that the change in the financial performance of the companies included in the research (expressed by the return on assets indicator) the change in the variables current liquidity and financial leverage. It was found that in the period 2007-2019, a 1% increase in current liquidity had the effect of increasing the return on assets by 0,851%. JEL: G32, C12.
