This is due to the fact that mergers and acquisitions are one of the ways to expand business, and the ability and the desire of companies to expand their business is highly dependent on economic growth. If we analyze the activity of mergers and acquisitions by year and compare it with the rates of economic growth of the world economy, we can see an undoubted connection between economic growth and the activity of mergers and acquisitions.The relevance of the research topic is to study the current trends in the development of mergers and acquisitions in world practice.
