Abstract:
It is said that there is economic efficiency and social effectiveness when, on their account, the increase of welfare in society is obtained. The price regulates all the attitudes of participants in market processes by objective norms and reactions. The paper aims at analyzing the economic access to food products of animal origin through the prism of the sale prices and through the main social-economic indicators characterizing the incomes and the living standard of the population. The methods of analysis, synthesis and comparison were used in the investigation process, and the recent works in this field, as well as the statistical reports of the NBS formed the informational basis The obtained results show that the actual sale prices, effectively formed per one tonne of agricultural production of animal origin in agricultural enterprises of the Republic of Moldova increased during the analyzed period, due to the droughts in the years 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2015 which also affected the livestock sector. Thus, the cost of production increased significantly. The main indicators characterizing the incomes and the living standard of the population have low values, which allows us to state that the population does not have enough financial resources for the purchase of the current consumption products, taking into account also the need for large consumption products. Only the employees from the financial and insurance activities have an average nominal monthly earning that satisfies the level of economic access to food of animal origin. JEL: Q110, Q180
