Abstract:
The flexibility of the learning process is a prerequisite for increasing the employment rate. Employers have increasingly high expectations from recent graduates. Technological changes lead to the need to update competences, skills and knowledge. Population distribution is important for all sectors of the economy, as well as for education and training systems. Thus, the article presents an analysis of the population structure of the member states of the European Union. A low level of education and skills adversely affects access to safer and better paid jobs. The future of a society is built for and by its members. Their level of education is important in this endeavor. From this point of view, the level of education of the population is analyzed. JEL: I21, I25
