The innovation process within the market of banking products / services is carried out in accordance with the socio-economic evolution of the country, being influenced by the changes and trends of the external environment. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the macroeconomic synthetic indicators, which show the evolution of the real economy in relation to the development of the banking products market. The paper analyzed the main macroeconomic indicators for the period 2010 - 2018 and calculated some indices of their evolution (in chain or against the base period), highlighting the graphical configuration of their trends, as well as of the trends of the banking sector. Thus, the methods used - analysis, synthesis, statistical and graphical analysis, benchmarking (comparison with other countries) have resulted in shaping the picture of the development of the banking market in recent years and identifying the directions of development in perspective The conclusions drawn from the research indicate the need to intensify the integration and diversification of bank loans, increase financial inclusion, innovate banking products and services.
