| dc.description.abstract | In this research I set out to analyse the impact of the global crisis on R&D and innovation expenditure in the pharmaceutical industry. The global crisis that started during the pandemic period has caused significant changes in the world's industries. In order to answer the research question, I analysed the pharmaceutical industry in Europe through the lens of published statistical data. The period analysed was 2020-2022. The findings highlight the impact of the global crisis on R&D and innovation spending in the pharmaceutical industry.
