Abstract:
This paper presents a comparative analysis of the investment climate in two post-Soviet republics, the Republic of Moldova and Georgia. The study explores the political, economic, legal, and social factors that influence the investment climate in these two countries. The analysis shows that Moldova and Georgia have different investment climates due to their varying political and economic conditions. While Georgia has made significant progress in improving its investment climate by implementing market-oriented reforms, Moldova has been slower in adopting these reforms. The paper provides insights into the challenges and opportunities for foreign investors in Moldova and Georgia and highlights the potential areas for future improvement. Overall, the paper suggests that Georgia's investment climate is more attractive to foreign investors than Moldova's due to its favorable business environment and ongoing efforts to improve its regulatory framework.
