Тенденции, проблемы и перспективы внешней торговли Республики Молдова

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the main trends and problems in foreign trade of the Republic of Moldova on the basis of data for 2017-2022, as well as to determine the necessary measures to optimize the current situation. The article clearly shows the dynamics and structure of the country's foreign trade, identifies the main problems hindering Moldova's entry to a new level, and identifies market opportunities and prospects for further development. The research is based on the study of documents, content analysis and synthesis, data modeling. National and international statistical data were used as informational materials, publications from specialized publications were used as informational support. The results of the research showed that in the Republic of Moldova for a long period of time, namely from 1993 to 2023, the trade balance has remained permanently negative, indicating a high level of foreign debt and a lack of efficiency in the foreign trade structure. There is a need to increase the volume of exports to the world market, creating products related to the introduction of new knowledge, inventions and technologies.
