Abstract

In the context of the national economy, the banking system of the Republic of Moldova occupies a particularly important place, being considered one of its essential pillars. In the context of integration into the European Union and other international agreements, Moldova is required to maintain an efficient and stable banking system that meets international requirements and standards. In recent years, the Moldovan banking system has undergone many changes, influenced by both external and internal factors, such as the global financial crisis and internal political instability. Thus, in this article, we will analyze the data recorded by the banking system in 2022 and its current trends, highlighting the positive and negative developments in this vital sector of the Moldovan economy.
