The relevance of this study is due to the fact that in the modern realities of Industry 4.0, companies are faced with the fact that in addition to following new trends, constant improvement in the workflow, they are faced with the fact that, as a consequence of the first, there is an urgent need for qualified employees. Industries, spheres, technologies are developing at such a rapid pace that the current proposed training is not able to provide the scale of knowledge or skills that companies are looking for when hiring workers for positions new to the market and the companies themselves. Hence the desire of organizations to provide personnel training that is beneficial to them. But by offering training to new employees, enterprises assume the risk that new personnel under the pressure of various factors may not take root in the company, in which case time and invested funds are lost. This has led to the fact that organizations are already directing their efforts and resources to internal employees who are familiar with the values of the company and its work in general. However, on the way to managing the professional activities of subordinates, there are workers who do not want to raise the degree of their work. In addition, the purpose of the study is to identify the reasons why employees may not be motivated in professional and career development. And also the research of this problem in one of the large retail chains of stores "Casa curata", in order to establish errors in the management system. By way to achieve the goal of the study, first of all, the analysis of literary sources was carried out. At the same time, job descriptions of both sellers and network managers were studied and analyzed. This stage was necessary, since the first acquaintance with the company begins with instructions, where the employee sees what actions are expected of him, criteria for evaluating his work, and of course guidelines for improving the level of qualifications within his position. After reviewing the documents, a survey was conducted for sellers of the chain of stores "Casa curata". As a result, it turned out that the company initially does not inform employees that they have the opportunity to apply for a higher position.
