Abstract:
The actuality of the subject. The right to a decent standard of living is a fundamental right. Social policy in ensuring the right to a decent life stems from the obligation of the state to provide adequate conditions for a decent life and refers to: regulation of the minimum wage, fight against unemployment, free primary health care, establishment of social benefits for some socially vulnerable population, who for various reasons cannot perform any work, etc. The financing of expenditures for ensuring a decent standard of living is mainly made from public budget resources, which is why the efficiency of public expenditures becomes an extremely important task, especially in the conditions of the deep economic crisis facing the Republic of Moldova. The purpose of the paper. This paper aims to analyze the living standards of the population of Moldova in terms of compliance with the constitutional rule on the obligation of the state to ensure an income, in the amount that would allow each citizen a decent living, but also the efficiency of public spending on social protection. Research methods.
